Why Consider Replacing ZnO Powder?

Powdered ZnO creates heavy dust during weighing and mixing, causes material loss, and disperses unevenly. A polymer-bound masterbatch eliminates dust, improves dispersion and can reduce active dosage by 10–20% while keeping the same curing level.

Dosage & How to Convert

A typical replacement starts at 1.5–3.0 phr. As a rule of thumb, replace 5 kg of 99% ZnO powder with roughly 6.2 kg of ZnO-80 masterbatch, then fine-tune in a lab cure test.

Where It Pays Off

Tire tread and sidewall, air hoses, belts and general rubber goods where consistent cure and a cleaner shop floor matter.

Do not reduce dosage blindly. Always run an MDR/TS2 check and a physical-property comparison against the original compound.
